Robotics Industry Directory
Curated lists of the companies that make up the robot learning industry: who offers teleoperation, who collects and sells training data, who builds the models, the humanoids, the arms and the simulators. Short, hand-maintained and free of filler.
Teleoperation Companies
Teleoperation means a human operates a robot or vehicle from somewhere else, over the network. The field splits into two families: remote operation of robot arms and humanoids, mostly to collect demonstration data for robot learning, and remote driving or supervision of vehicles and mobile machines.

Robot Training Data Companies
Robot learning is bottlenecked by demonstration data: trajectories of real robots doing real tasks, usually recorded through teleoperation. A small industry has formed around collecting, curating and selling that data, next to open efforts that publish it freely.

Vision-Language-Action & Imitation Learning Companies
Vision-language-action models take camera images and an instruction and output robot actions directly. Together with imitation learning from teleoperated demonstrations, they are the dominant approach to general-purpose robot manipulation right now.

Humanoid Robot Companies
Humanoids are the most visible bet in robotics: general-purpose robots with two arms and (usually) two legs, aimed first at logistics and manufacturing. Nearly every serious humanoid program trains its manipulation stack on teleoperated demonstration data.

Robot Arm Manufacturers
Robot arms span three worlds: open-source research arms you assemble yourself for a few hundred euros, collaborative arms for labs and light industry, and classic industrial manipulators. Which world an arm belongs to decides its price, its software stack and how easy it is to teleoperate.

Robot Simulation Software
Simulation is where robot policies are trained, benchmarked and stress-tested before touching real hardware, and increasingly a data source of its own through synthetic demonstration generation.
